We can’t talk about health without talking about nature, because plants both heal and prevent so many illnesses. They really are magic.
I’ve been studying herbalism for a couple of years now - last year I earned my professional certification in Medicinal Plants from Cornell. And one of the great benefits of this journey is learning about herbs and their uses so I can make my own medicinal teas. My body loves it and it’s so much better for my constitution than an acidic cup of coffee. Now I start and end each day with a medicinal tea.
My formulations change from time to time, but I always focus on immunity, anti-inflammation, respiratory and digestive health, and hormonal balance. These herbs are all GCAS (generally considered as safe) and are in micro doses, but if you’re currently on prescription meds I always recommend that you check for contraindications.
All my ingredients are organically sourced, for the most nourishing way to start and end your day.

Lori's Morning Magic Tea~Currants (promotes heart health, bone health and immunity)

To make tea, steep one rounded tablespoon in a tea ball or infuser in about 12 ounces of very hot water for 15-20 minutes. Stir in 1/2 tsp pure maple syrup or a little pure Stevia powder for sweetness (if desired) before serving.

Do you have a hard time relaxing at night, and a tough time staying asleep once you've turned in? Kava kava can be just the ally you need. My clients report that the kava in my Evening Enchantment has been a godsend, but some people need just a little extra to seal the deal. Add 1/2 teaspoon to steep with your Evening Enchantment Tea.*
Ginger Root
Struggling with acidity, bloat, or slow digestion? Ginger is not only the perfect companion to good digestion, but also a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. I add 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons of ginger root to my evening tea every night! *
Raspberry Leaf
Raspberry leaf has historically been used to help balance hormones, and is currently included in many over-the-counter remedies for hot flashes. Including raspberry leaf in my Evening Enchantment tea was no accident! That, in addition to my plant-based diet, has made my menopausal years a breeze compared to what I used to experience. Try my Evening Tea, and if you need a little extra hormone balancing, add 1 tablespoon of raspberry leaf to steep with it every night. (It's mild and delicious, so you can also add it to your tea in the morning or afternoon as well! You can drink up to 4 cups of raspberry leaf tea per day, so feel free to experiment with the amount that works for you).*
Senna Leaf
Are you struggling with constipation? This herb has been used for centuries. In fact, the active compound in Senna is what's used in popular OTC remedies like Ex-Lax. When needed, I put a rounded 1/2 teaspoon in my evening tea, and I'll typically have a bowel movement the next morning. I find the effects to be more natural than OTC meds, but just as effective.*
