In a nutshell:
To help others achieve empowerment through healthy choices.
Strong Mind, Strong Body
Choose empowerment. Where there's a will, there's a way. Embrace movement. Celebrate change. Pursue positivity. Glorify enthusiasm. Care deeply. Commit to yourself. Tune into your body. Get outdoors. Soak up the sunshine. Grow things. Eat plants. Speak louder than your fears. Be authentically you. Prize integrity. Knowledge is power. Create your life. Happiness is homemade. Believe in yourself...you've got this.
When I started this business in 2010, I felt a calling to help others, specifically women, become healthy and empowered. To me, empowerment means really understanding nutrition, because there are so many trends, fads, MLM companies selling shakes and supplements, mega-mogul weight loss companies advertising day and night, pharmaceutical "cures" and conflicting nutritional information coming out weekly that folks are understandably confused and frustrated. At the beginning of my heath and wellness career back in 2001, the questions I kept hearing from clients over and over again were, "What's true? Which information do I trust? Why hasn't anything worked for me in the past?" So many felt hopeless. Once I found empowerment I knew I'd never go back, and I made it my mission to help others on their journey through nutritional education, daily support, motivation, lifestyle change and problem-solving. True transformation is my specialty.

"One thing I do know for certain is this: it is possible to take back control over your weight and fitness issues. I did and will continue to do so through this upcoming year. I've realized that I don't have to live the rest of my life in the BMI obese section of the world. I've realized that I don't have to eat because I'm depressed, stressed, or angry. And most of all: I don't have to look in the mirror and hate what I see there."
"My whole life has been a constant struggle with my weight. I have tried about every diet out there, like so many others. In September 2007 I finally resorted to gastric by-pass surgery and lost 173 pounds. I was doing great and thought I had conquered my weight struggle. Unfortunately, I eventually found myself falling back into my old habits of eating too much, eating out, snacking at night and not exercising. I had a lot of weight to lose, had no energy, felt lethargic most of the time, and had no strength. When I first started with Lori, I struggled to do the exercises. But one of the first benefits I noticed was it became easier for me to go up and down the steps. Lori also stressed that I needed to improve my eating habits - to change my diet and eat healthy. I lost 27 ¾ inches! With Lori’s guidance I am finally avoiding processed foods, eating lots of fruits, veggies, and organic foods, and cooking at home most of the time. I now have lots of energy, I don’t feel lethargic, and the scale says it’s all paying off! "
"You don’t have to have it all figured out before you get started. Just get started. I knew what I wanted…I wanted to feel better. I knew what I did NOT want….to sit around, eat and complain about what was not going right in my life. I had suffered the tragic loss, had a cerebral aneurysm coiled, and a surgery on my neck. I felt I had lost strength emotionally and physically. I wanted to feel better, so three of us met with Lori to begin working out. Lori began asking us about our eating habits and I remember thinking, “I don’t want to talk; I thought we were going to work out.” Lori emphasized the correlation between good eating and success in our goals. I listened. Then she talked about our weigh-ins. I still remember thinking, “I don’t want to get on a scale. I feel bad enough.” With reservation I owned it. We began our workouts the first week of February. I remember how weak we were, and how hard we worked. Lori always offered us variations and encouragement. The “where I started from” list goes on, but so does the progress and the confidence! I lost 43 pounds and 38.5 inches… and I feel so much better! Sometimes we stagnate because we are hurting emotionally and/or physically. Don’t wait until you feel better to get started, get started so you can feel better!"
"I thought I needed to join some weight loss program. But all I really needed was to meet Lori. To say I am excited and happy is an understatement! Lori pushes me; she cheers me on; and she genuinely cares. She wants success as much as I do. To date I am down 46 pounds. I eat more organically and avoid processed foods and high fructose corn syrup. For the first time in years, I am looking forward to summer. I'm ready to shed the sweaters and stop using my weight as an excuse for not living a fulfilling life. Thanks, Lori...You Rock!!!"
